Much Ado About Black Friday!

"How do you know which offers are real and which are phony?"

Black Friday is the mother of all Sales! When it comes to black Friday sales, nothing is off limits, you get to see the biggest discounts and everyone is in on it from the big brands to the small retail stores. The Black Friday trend on social media was rather very impressive, everyone was buzzing about it in every nook and cranny, there were massive advertising campaigns to drive awareness. You couldn’t miss it. You couldn’t ignore it. But there’s more to the buzz than meets the eye about Black Friday Sales. Deals are usually very enticing and some can be misleading. How do the shoppers know what’s legitimate from what’s not? How do you know which offers are real and which are phony? 1. Longer Time Span: Most times, items are put on sale for only a small window of time. Prices are usually great but it’s very difficult for the shoppers to get their hands on the items, almost impossible. These products have limited quantities and are out of stock within the few minutes of the sale. It’s highly recommended to avoid such products or items and look for those with a longer time span. 2. Do Your Research: Before you make a purchase, do your research. Some products are placed at a higher price during this period and then an illusion of a price slash is given to the customer. Knowing where items are sold the cheapest before you begin shopping will save you from falling for faux sales. 3. If It’s Too Good To Be True, It’s Not True: Lots of people will jump for the most attractive discounts, only to be disappointed after making a purchase. Some retailers put up unrealistic discounts to lure buyers especially during online sales and then once payment has been made, they offer you something different. Buyers should also know that most of the Black Friday deals are on older stock. The higher the discounts, the older the stock. Not to say new stock don’t go on sale but there are only a limited number of these items. These are some hidden tricks businesses employ during black Friday sales. Did we miss anything?
